Urbanism

The implementation of values, needs and principles of an urban logic in a tailor-made and quality architecture.

Our vision is that of an urban planning oriented towards the way of living and inhabiting the city/neighborhood. Thanks to an optimal synergy between a town planner's and an architect's approach, we propose evolutionary projects adapted to the context and the needs of the inhabitants.

Analysis tools to meet your needs

Sensitive to the evolution of our societies, the CCHE office develops decision support tools for real estate developers and public authorities. From the analysis to the architectural project, we have developed four combinable ways to question the territory.

Socio-spatial strategy
Analysis of the productive city
Megatrends
Lifestyle development
Participatory approach

Prestations en Urbanisme chez CCHE Suisse

Applied in numerous projects, our 4 methodologies have already proven efficient in the development of both residential and business districts. Unique and complementary, they can be adapted to the specific characteristics of your site by :

  • The definition of a target audience
  • Anticipating societal evolution
  • Identification of synergistic programs
  • The volumetric representation of reflections
  • This process aims to involve future users, or their representatives, in the design process so that the project meets their needs.
Urbanisme La stratégie socio-spatiale Suisse

Socio-spatial strategy

In order to respond to a constantly changing demand and an increasingly competitive market, the CCHE office has developed a strategy aimed, through a territorial understanding, at defining a housing project and adapting it to the closest to current needs.

Based on a fine analysis of the context and the housing market, it determines the target public, their characteristics and their needs. These elements are then transposed into the architectural project, defining the characteristics, uses and atmospheres of the future buildings.

Based on the specificities of each site, this strategy is the ideal solution for creating a neighborhood adapted to the real demand of the real estate market.

See the article "The socio-spatial strategy".

Analysis of the productive city

Marked by problems of densification and by new needs, the shape of the activity areas is bound to change. Within this framework, we have developed a methodology to determine the types of users expected and related programs for a business site.

Through an analysis of the situation, its accessibility and the market economy, it determines the target ventures, their characteristics and their needs. Transposed into the architectural project, this data is used to define the location of these businesses and the services that meet their needs, as well as the architecture and ambiance of the future business park.

A longer-term projection, a guide to urban development, finally provides a reflection on the site's evolutionary potential. The challenge is therefore to seek a diversity of site appropriation that rethinks the link of synergies between the city and productive areas: implanting, creating proximity and synergies, and changing metabolisms.

Urbanisme La ville productive Suisse
Urbanisme les megatrends Suisse

Megatrends

Megatrends are profound changes, influencing several decades, affecting each one of us and covering all levels of society: economy, politics, science, technology, culture, spatial planning, etc.

These changes are shaping us today and will continue to influence us tomorrow. Moreover, they are well suited to determine emerging trends in housing, lifestyles, the labour market and business.

For these reasons, CCHE works with megatrends because they allow the project to embody "living together" in the image of the future society.

See the article "Megatrends".

Lifestyle development

Understanding and explaining a neighborhood or a building to its users or future users, grasping the places of exchange and possible synergies, these are the challenges of developing lifestyles. Developed by CCHE, this methodology illustrates potential users and their concrete interactions with the project.

Based on the identification of typical user profiles adapted to the project, it allows the establishment of scenarios that illustrate the values of use of a building or neighborhood (living and exchange areas, outdoor facilities, typologies ...).

Playful and explicit, this tool offers an understanding of uses through a graphic representation.

Urbanisme de CCHE développement des styles de vie Suisse
Urbanisme de CCHE démarche participative Suisse

Participatory approach

To accompany your development projects, CCHE proposes the implementation of participatory approaches. This process aims to involve future users, or their representatives, in the design process so that the project meets their needs. Used for many large-scale neighborhoods, this method is custom-developed for each project, according to its specific issues.

Sustainable development

Sensitive to the insertion of projects in their territorial context, the urban project from small to large scale is at the heart of our reflections and is deployed as a guiding thread in our proposals. Beyond the spatial and operational formalization, it is a question of making good use of spatial planning tools and being able to intelligently gauge each situation by defining the necessary flexibility within a defined framework.

Urban planning competition

Based on a fine reading of the context, our vision tends to enhance and build on the existing, thus making the constraints of the site a strength for the project. The scalability and usability values of our proposals are also at the heart of our concerns.

Our experience and multiple references allow us to bring innovative and realistic answers to the problems posed.

Our proposals are the result of a multidisciplinary and passionate team, and they shape tomorrow's living environment in an ambitious and sustainable way.

Development plans

Thanks to a good understanding of territorial constraints and issues, our development plans ensure an adequate response in terms of density control, sustainability, landscape preservation and heritage conservation. The quality of voids between them is as important to us as the quality of occupied spaces.

In constant evolution, we have developed a thorough knowledge of procedures and a close coordination with local actors, effectively accompanying your projects in their planning.

Landscaping and public space project

The care given to public spaces and landscapes is a guarantee of a neighborhood's quality of life. This is why, in order to ensure a certain consistency and overall quality, we support a global vision of the project, where the outdoor amenities are inseparable from the surrounding buildings.

Thus, we conceive these spaces as real living spaces, bearers of social ties and values of use.

Feasibility study

Upstream of the urban project, our feasibility studies aim to understand the constraints of a site, determine its potential and evaluate the various possibilities for building locations.

Based on a systematic approach to the development of variants, it allows the best project options to emerge.

Our experience as a builder grants our proposals a critical and rational look, aware of the economic and constructive realities.

Assistance to the project owner

In addition to the elaboration of your project, we offer you our support in its development and related procedures. Advice, expertise, representation: this personalized service ensures clarity and reactivity during each of your steps.

Our in-depth knowledge of the workings and actors of regional planning allows us to efficiently accompany your projects in their development process.

Sustainable development

As an Eco-company, CCHE leads its projects on the road to sustainability.

Within its collaborators, a think tank on sustainable development has been formed in order to increase our skills in the multiple fields that touch on sustainability, to change our habits by sensitizing our collaborators to more sustainable gestures and to define new processes for the elaboration of the projects until the realization of our building sites.

CCHE counts among its collaborators an integrator of the One Planet Living method developed by WWF Switzerland. This method aims to implement sustainable neighbourhoods while certifying their construction with a label. It is one of the few labels that allows us to analyze a neighborhood as a whole.
